SharePoint Consultant

Job Description:

(1) Client is in the process of migrating our current on-prem SharePoint sites to SharePoint online within the Azure framework. In order to support this effort, we are looking for a Senior SharePoint Solutions Developer, who will be required to lead/participate in the following tasks/activities.

Overview:

Work as a development resource to mirgrate and implement SharePoint functionality and features as defined by the Client SharePoint team within the SharePoint Online framework.

  1. Scope of services/description of work to be performed
  • Assist in migrating the current Share 2016 Sites to SharePoint Online (Azure).
  • Collaborate with Client SCA s to analyze business requirements and implement SharePoint solutions.
  • Design and create custom solutions to meet business needs.
  • Improve usability, and enable more effective content sharing across the enterprise.
  1. Specific skills/experience required:

Good working understanding of on-premise Microsoft Infrastructure technologies:

  • Good understanding of Azure Active Directory fundamentals
  • Experiece working in a hybrid SP environment including SP 2016 on-prem and SP online (Azure)
  • Experience with migrating to SP online includng knowledge of the ShareGate migration tool.
  • Experience working with Mircrosoft Power Apps, Power Automate (Flow), SharePoint Development Framework (SPFx), Teams, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, user interface and user experience design patterns in desktop software, websites and mobile applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at various levels of the organization
  • Ability to translate business requirements in the technical specifications
  • Must be able to work in Agile environment especially with Scrum methodology
  • Understanding of common modern web front-end frameworks
  • 5+ SharePoint Solution Designer/Developer and Information Architect in a large SharePoint setup of multiple SCAs and SOs. Excellent knowledge of designing and building solution using workflows in SharePoint Online.
  • 5 years experience with SharePoint workflows, taxonomy creation, including metadata, content classification, controlled vocabularies and tagging systems, content architecture (content types, metadata requirements and search configuration recommendations (best bets, thesaurus, search UI).
  • Experience working in a government tenant preferred.

  • Successful mirgration of SharePoint 2016 sites to SharePoint Online.
