Job Description:

The Data Science Analyst will be integral part of transforming the practice of pricing decisions for the Land division of World Fuel Services.

As a Data Science Analyst for Pricing, you will help building the next generation pricing system, while putting data at the core of our decisions and processes.

AB testing ramp-up, forecasting challenges and complex analysis will be part of your mission.

The person in this role will use modern distributed computing technologies, open sourced tools, and rich, proprietary datasets to unlock opportunities by predicting customer demand, customer willingness to pay and price sensitivity in order to determine the right price and optimize gross profit.

The Analyst has ongoing exposure to senior executives, providing the opportunity to influence key decisions and shape strategies

Responsibilities:

• Envisions and builds advanced models and analytics to transform price decisions and the pricing process.
• Identify test groups and data sources. Identify control group to minimize bias.
• Research and develop statistical learning and Machine Learning models for data analysis.
• Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
• Drive the knowledge of price elasticity forward, define a methodology which enables to calculate elasticity from the past and use it for future estimates.
• You also ensure that your model is accessible for others.
• Collaborates with team members to build machine learning solutions from development through validation and deployment.
• Works with modern open source tools to explore unique and proprietary data sources to discover new relationships and actionable insights.
• Deep reviews of client level pricing. Monitor and enhance pricing model.
• Identify revenue and profit growth opportunities, evaluate the financial impact of changes to the business, present pricing decisions for a wide variety of venues.
• Provide revenue assumptions and projections for new concepts.
• Present and interpret data results to senior management and key stakeholders in a concise and clear manner using verbal and presentation skills
